Suspicion of financial offenses: the offices of the general secretary of the RN group in the European Parliament searched

On October 21, police conducted searches at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, targeting the offices of the Patriotes pour l’Europe group. This operation aimed to investigate financial misconduct linked to the Identité et démocratie group, previously associated with the Rassemblement national. The searches were confirmed by RN delegation leader Jean-Paul Garraud and focused on Philip Claeys, a former far-right politician now serving as secretary general of the Patriotes pour l’Europe. Claeys's offices in Brussels were also searched by Belgian police.
