Spain: Rescuers search mangled train wreckage near Toledo

A train collision in Spain involved a Renfe AVE train and a privately operated Iryo train, resulting in 58 injuries, with many serious cases. Rescue operations included around 100 personnel and sniffer dogs. The incident occurred on the Madrid–Seville line, where the AVE train struck the Iryo train that had stopped due to a signal issue. This marks Spain's second significant rail accident in 2023, following a January crash that resulted in 45 fatalities.
