A special bus returns to the streets of Wrocław. The first ride is today.
Starting Monday, Wrocław will operate a streetbus every evening at 7 PM for the homeless. The bus provides warmth, meals, first aid, and support from streetworkers. This initiative, now in its seventh edition, has served 165,000 meals and traveled 48,000 kilometers. The route includes key city locations, and an ambulance follows for safety. Eleven streetworkers, including those with past homelessness experiences, assist users. The program is a collaboration between local authorities and support organizations, offering information on winter care facilities with 750 available spots for the estimated 1,000 homeless individuals this winter.
