Nails and needles in Halloween candy Germany, Austria and Norway

Parents in Austria and Germany have reported finding dangerous objects in candy collected by their children, including nails and needles. In Linz, a father discovered nails in his children's sweets, while in Essen, a father found a needle in a chocolate bar. Other incidents involved metal pins in candy and gummy bears. Authorities have advised parents to inspect their children's candy carefully. No injuries have been reported, but suspects could face charges of attempted serious bodily harm. Similar incidents have also occurred in Norway, where a girl found a needle in her chocolate.
