TVN sale under government control. Minister Balczun for "Rz": Documentation has gaps

The Polish Ministry of State Assets is reviewing the ownership change of TVN following its acquisition by Skydance. Minister Wojciech Balczun stated that the ministry has requested additional documentation from Skydance before proceeding with the administrative process. The ownership change stems from Warner Bros. Discovery's acquisition by Skydance, finalized on October 6. The ministry's evaluation will focus on the impact of this change on the Polish market, not the transaction itself in the U.S. Concerns about media independence have been raised, particularly regarding the Ellison family's political ties. The ministry will seek recommendations from a Consultative Committee before making a decision, which could either approve or deny the ownership change.
