Regional transport strikes will not take place on Thursday, new negotiations about the collective labor agreement

Employers have invited unions to resume negotiations for a new collective labor agreement in regional transport, contingent on a six-week strike suspension. Unions had planned weekly strikes until Christmas after negotiations collapsed. Following a letter from employers with concrete commitments, unions CNV and FNV have paused actions for two weeks to seek a resolution. If no agreement is reached in this timeframe, strikes may resume on November 4. The current agreement expired in June and affects 13,000 workers from companies like Arriva and Transdev.
