Starlink and Starshield are operational again. President Volodymyr Zelensky on restoring connectivity

On Thursday, President Trump claimed that the Starlink and Starshield networks in Ukraine were fully operational again. However, Ukrainian officials, including Serhij Beskrestnow, stated that no restrictions had been lifted. By Saturday morning, reports indicated that Starlink and Starshield were functioning at speeds exceeding 161 km/h, confirmed by President Zelensky. He emphasized the importance of these speeds for logistics and defense against drones. Zelensky expressed gratitude to the U.S. and partners for addressing the Starlink issue. The limitations had previously hindered Ukraine's ability to intercept Russian drones. The restrictions were first reported in mid-October, with Musk stating that decisions were made by the Pentagon. Zelensky mentioned that Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured him of efforts to unblock the systems.
