Starlink is operational again. Ukrainian media on the restoration of connectivity
On Thursday, President Trump claimed that the Starlink and Starshield networks in Ukraine were fully operational again. However, Ukrainian officials stated that they still faced restrictions. Reports indicated that Starlink and Starshield began functioning at speeds exceeding 161 km/h, with ongoing tests to assess connectivity. Ukraine relies on both commercial and military networks, and limitations hinder their ability to intercept Russian drones. The restrictions were first reported in mid-October, with concerns about a lack of warning regarding Russian attacks. Elon Musk stated that the Pentagon ultimately decides on Starlink's limitations. Recently, Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured Zelensky that efforts would be made to unblock the systems. These developments coincided with U.S. concessions to Moscow, including an agreement on Russian diesel imports and criticism of Zelensky by Trump.
