Public employees, liquidation without waiting from 2030: here's what changes and when

The 2027 budget introduces significant changes for public employees regarding severance payments, reducing the initial nine-month waiting period by three months annually until it is eliminated by 2030. Starting then, the maximum first installment will increase by €10,000 each year, aiming for alignment with private sector practices by 2035. Additionally, a new measure limits salary adjustments for judges, tying future increases to the average salary growth of other public sector employees, reinstating a previously rejected criterion.
