Steve Witkoff is flying to Vladimir Putin. Later he will return to Oslo with Russia's response

Steve Witkoff traveled from Norway to Russia to present peace proposals to Vladimir Putin, following discussions in Oslo with Ukrainian and Finnish leaders. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre expressed optimism about Russia seeking diplomatic solutions. After meeting Putin, Witkoff will return to Oslo to relay Moscow's response to the proposals. The Oslo talks focused on security guarantees for Ukraine and its future relations with NATO. President Zelensky suggested a trilateral meeting with U.S. and Russian leaders to address contentious issues regarding the peace agreement. It remains unclear how Putin will respond to the proposals.
