Steven from Aarschot finds Chinese mitten crab in his basement: "Maybe it came in through the sewer"

Steven Supply from Rillaar discovered a Chinese mitten crab in his basement, likely coming from a nearby stream or through the sewer. He noted it was unusual for the crab to be so far from water. The crab, which has a unique life cycle, travels from freshwater to the sea for reproduction. This species, native to East Asia, has been found in Flanders and can cause issues for local fishermen. The crab's migration peaks in September and continues until November, explaining its recent appearance in unusual locations.
