STJ dismisses fraud in Lula's reelection
The president of Brazil's Superior Court of Justice, Luís Felipe Salomão, dismissed allegations of electoral fraud in the recent presidential elections, asserting they were clean and transparent. He emphasized the integrity of the electoral process, which involved international observation and party oversight. Lula da Silva won the election against Flávio Bolsonaro by a margin of 4.4 million votes. Bolsonaro, currently in the U.S., has claimed electoral fraud and intends to contest the results, alleging misuse of political power. Salomão also expressed Brazil's willingness to assist Mozambique in electoral training. Meanwhile, Bolsonaro faces legal issues related to money laundering and has been summoned by Brazilian authorities.
