'Stock' of housing loans rises 11.2% to 120.2 billion in September

In September, the stock of housing loans in Portugal reached €120.2 billion, marking an 11.2% year-on-year increase. Consumer loans also rose to €36.1 billion, with a monthly increase of €225 million. Total loans to individuals grew by 10.8% to €156.2 billion. The annual growth rate for consumer loans decreased slightly to 9.6%. For businesses, the stock of loans reached €77.8 billion, with a 5.8% year-on-year increase. Loans to microenterprises slowed down, while those to large companies saw a slight rise. Deposits from individuals totaled €203.2 billion, down by €978 million from August, with a 3.1% annual growth. Business deposits decreased to €80.5 billion, with an annual growth rate of 11.3%.
