Storm Austen sweeps across the Netherlands, most disruption in the south

The KNMI issued a yellow weather warning for several Dutch provinces due to strong winds, with gusts reaching 70 km/h. Train services were disrupted, particularly between Venlo and Kaldenkirchen, and traffic congestion increased significantly. In Amsterdam, a tree fell on a moving car, but the driver was unharmed. The storm caused notable damage in southern Netherlands, including a tree falling on a farmhouse and damaging gravestones in Maastricht. The storm, named Austen, also affected other European regions, causing injuries in Brussels and power outages in France and the UK.
