Storm tide in Scheldt Valley due to storm Boelo, flood areas closed off: "Stay away"

The Flemish Waterway warns of storm tides in the Scheldt valley due to storm Boelo, leading to increased water levels. Flood zones are closed for safety, and the public is urged to respect all signage and closures. Predicted peak water levels include 6.65 meters in Antwerp and 6.80 meters in Temse. The Sigma plan is activated to manage excess water in controlled flood areas, which will be closed to visitors. These areas will reopen only when safe.
