Street lighting back on at night in Malle, but less bright: "Light intensity adjusted to traffic volume"
By 2028, Malle will have street lighting on at night again, with LED lamps being installed for energy efficiency and dimming capabilities. The new lights will adjust brightness based on traffic levels, starting at 100% at dusk and reducing to 30% late at night. This change responds to residents' requests for safer nighttime conditions. The municipality has already converted 80% of its streetlights to LED technology, with the transition expected to be completed by 2028. LED lights are more efficient and reduce light pollution compared to older models.
