Student Aaron writes poems on gravestones in Boom for families who cannot do it themselves: "A job that gives a lot of satisfaction"
For the first time, around 100 student workers from the Antwerp social startup Maurice & Nora are cleaning gravestones in Flanders and Brussels ahead of All Saints' Day. The service costs about 20 euros per gravestone and provides emotional support to families unable to maintain them. Student Aaron Dien Andrade expresses satisfaction in helping families, while Lien De Troetsel appreciates the assistance during a difficult time after her father's passing. The initiative reflects a growing demand for such services among grieving families, especially those living far from the burial sites. Maurice & Nora aims to connect students with meaningful jobs that have a positive impact.
