Students at UHasselt advocate in exercise for broken coffee machine

Two law students from UHasselt participated in a mock trial regarding a broken coffee machine to highlight the right to repair. This exercise aimed to bridge theory and practice in legal education. Professor Jonas Voorter emphasized the importance of engaging students in practical cases related to circular economy research. The students presented two cases, one created by the professor and another modified by a student. The event coincided with International Repair Day, promoting awareness of reuse and repair over disposal. Despite initial apprehension about their knowledge of environmental law, the students found the topic engaging and valuable for future considerations.
