Sudan: Massacre at the market in Darfur
Recent reports indicate that a drone attack in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, resulted in significant casualties and power outages. The attack targeted a major power substation, leaving much of the city without electricity for about 12 hours. Hospitals and bakeries had to rely on generators, and water supply was also restricted. This incident followed a coordinated assault by the RSF on multiple energy infrastructure sites, exacerbating the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan, which has been marked by civil war since April 2023. The UN describes the situation as the worst humanitarian crisis globally, with millions displaced due to the conflict.
