On a continent lacking fuels, Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote wants to create a pan-African network of oil pipelines

Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote has made significant strides in the oil refining sector with his Lagos refinery, now the largest in Africa. This facility has transformed Nigeria from an oil importer to a net exporter of fuels, particularly to Europe. Following this success, Dangote plans to build a similar refinery in Lamu, Kenya by 2030. Recently, he announced intentions to invest in a vast network of oil pipelines across Africa, enhancing logistics for petroleum distribution. This initiative was revealed during a Financial Times forum in London, where he emphasized an aggressive approach to expanding oil distribution infrastructure.
