Syria. Hundreds of houses flooded, there are fatalities

Syrian authorities reported that heavy rains caused severe flooding in the eastern part of the country, resulting in seven deaths, including five children. Rescue teams continue to search for four missing individuals. The floods affected several governorates, damaging infrastructure and forcing over 100,000 people to evacuate. Civil defense teams conducted over 550 rescue operations, assisting trapped individuals and evacuating students from schools. More adverse weather is expected, with forecasts predicting additional heavy rains and storms.
