The Szent Imre Hospital was fined for professional misconduct.

Piroska, an 89-year-old woman, died after receiving inadequate care at Szent Imre Hospital. An investigation revealed professional shortcomings and documentation violations. The hospital failed to perform an EKG despite her requests and categorized her condition as less urgent. After her condition worsened, her family left to seek care elsewhere, but she passed away. The National Public Health and Medical Officer Service imposed a fine of 500,000 HUF on the hospital, which has since accepted the findings and committed to compliance. Piroska's son sees this acknowledgment as progress but believes more must be done to prevent similar incidents.
