Adrián Szalai: On October 23, a nation faced its destiny.
Adrián Szalai, a student from the Pozsony Hungarian College, commemorated the Hungarian uprising against oppression that occurred seventy years ago. He referenced the oppressive years of the Rákosi dictatorship, marked by forced removals, imprisonments, and labor camps. Despite these hardships, the Hungarian spirit endured, showcasing courage and the belief in a free Hungary. This belief has inspired others, not only in Hungary but throughout the Carpathian Basin and beyond.
