Ryanair's CEO warns of ticket price increases. Flying will not be cheap
Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair, predicts significant fare increases in European aviation next year, while Michał Kaczmarzyk, head of Ryanair Poland, notes that the extent of these increases will depend on market conditions and specific routes. Poland, being Ryanair's fifth-largest market, may see smaller increases due to currently lower average ticket prices compared to Western Europe. Ryanair has secured 80% of its fuel needs at $67 per barrel until March 2027, and 15% at $85 for the following year. Despite rising costs, Ryanair plans to expand its fleet to 800 aircraft by 2034 and increase passenger numbers to 300 million annually. New maintenance facilities are also planned in Wrocław and potential engine repair centers in various locations.
