Serbia: Vučić acknowledged the defeat, the student list can form a government
Aleksandar Vucic, leader of the United Serbia list, expressed expectations that the Student List will emerge as the largest political force in the new parliament. He acknowledged the loss in the elections, stating that the Student List could secure 135-140 seats, while his coalition might obtain around 105 seats in the 250-member assembly. Preliminary data indicates the Student List received approximately 2.2 million votes compared to 1.72 million for United Serbia. Ipsos/CeSID forecasts align with Vucic's statements, suggesting the Student List could achieve 52% of the vote. Meanwhile, police preparations were noted in Belgrade, urging calm among students. Prime Minister Péter Magyar commented on the celebrations occurring across Serbia.
