Almost every district center has a new leader
Almost all educational district centers in Hungary are receiving new leaders, with 55 out of 60 positions filled. The Ministry aims to shift focus from political considerations to professionalism and collaboration. A total of 567 applications were submitted, with 424 deemed valid. Newly appointed leaders will serve a five-year term, and the list of appointees is available on the Klebelsberg Center's website. Notably, Pilz Olivér, a critic of the current government's education policy, has been appointed. The Ministry emphasizes restoring institutional autonomy and fostering partnerships between districts and schools.
