Szoboszlai returned as a substitute, Liverpool lost a home match against their rivals

Liverpool lost 1-0 at home to defending champions Arsenal in the English league. Milos Kerkez played over 80 minutes as a starter, while Dominik Szoboszlai returned from injury as a substitute in the 59th minute. Szoboszlai's return was notable as he had played only 32 minutes since the Nations League break and missed five matches. Arsenal took the lead in the 16th minute through Havertz after a defensive error by Liverpool. The home team had chances, including a shot hitting the crossbar. Szoboszlai received applause upon his return, but despite Liverpool's late pressure, they couldn't score. Arsenal capitalized on Manchester City's loss to take the lead in the league.
