They sought easy money online, ended up in the hands of the authorities. A strike against an international gang
An international criminal group has been dismantled, with six members arrested in various Polish cities. They face charges related to money laundering from online fraud. The group, comprising individuals from Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, allegedly used violence to enforce compliance among members. The suspects were recruited through online ads promising easy money and provided bank account details for fraudulent transactions. They laundered nearly 2 million PLN through various scams, including fake job offers and phishing websites. Currently, 49 individuals are implicated, with 19 under temporary arrest, facing up to 15 years in prison.
