The list of candidates for the James Bond role has narrowed down, the casting may be in its final stages.

The selection process for the new James Bond is nearing its final stages, with actors Callum Turner, Jack Lowden, and Josh O’Connor reportedly in the running for the role. Originally scheduled for early October, auditions were postponed due to scheduling conflicts. Sources indicate that at least four actors have been invited for final auditions, focusing on stunts, on-camera presence, and dialogue delivery. Despite earlier speculation, Jacob Elordi is not among the candidates. Amazon MGM Studios, which owns the Bond franchise rights, announced the search for a new lead in May. Producer Amy Pascal suggested a decision could be made by the end of the year, aiming for a fresh take on the character. The next Bond film is expected to be released in 2028, directed by Denis Villeneuve.
