Tabuaço contests project for the installation of solar panels
The mayor of Tabuaço reiterated opposition to the installation of solar panels on the Távora River, urging public participation in the consultation process. The project, which involves 30,744 photovoltaic panels, has faced criticism due to concerns over water quality, tourism impact, and fire-fighting operations. The previous administration had also opposed the project, citing similar reasons. The current administration is encouraging citizens to voice their opinions through the official consultation platform before the deadline.
