Storms absorbed more than 3 billion from the PTRR

The recovery from early year storms has utilized €3.03 billion under the PTRR, with €970 million planned for next year. Minister Manuel Castro Almeida reported that support for families affected has been largely disbursed, with over 99.4% of processes resolved. The government is now focused on restoring municipal infrastructure, with 60% of recovery funds being grants. Transfers to municipalities will increase by 6%, totaling €4.676 billion, reflecting a real growth of 14% over three years. Additionally, transfers to parishes will rise by 8.2%. A working group is reviewing low-density municipalities to create positive differentiation. The proposed budget for 2027 anticipates a 2.3% economic growth this year and balanced accounts.
