A terrorist attack occurred at the Israeli embassy in Belgrade, the presumed minor perpetrator was shot dead

A suspected minor attacked a police officer guarding the Israeli embassy in Belgrade with knives, leading to the officer shooting the assailant. The Serbian Ministry of Interior classified the incident as a terrorist act and raised the national threat level to red. The attack occurred shortly after midnight, with the assailant reportedly shouting "Allah akbar". The officer sustained minor injuries, and the assailant's identity remains unknown, though he is believed to be from Sabac. Authorities suspect a connection to ISIS. This is not the first attack at the embassy, as a previous incident involved a crossbow attack in June 2024.
