TGV leads to declaring public utility for expropriations in Ovar and Feira
The Portuguese government declared the public utility of expropriations for the High-Speed Rail Line between Porto and Oiã, emphasizing urgency. This decision affects areas in Ovar and Santa Maria da Feira, facilitating the ongoing construction that began two weeks ago. The Secretary of State for Infrastructure authorized AVAN Norte to take administrative possession of the necessary properties, with costs covered by the concessionaire. The project aims to connect Porto and Lisbon in 75 minutes by 2032, with additional stops planned. The first phase is expected to be completed by 2030, with significant funding from the European Investment Bank.
