'The stakes are existential!': Thousands of Israelis living abroad return home to vote in October 27 elections

Activists from The Democrats party welcomed returning Israeli expatriates at Ben-Gurion Airport ahead of the October 27 elections. Batell Blaish-Sultanik from AID Coalition distributed caps and balloons to encourage voting. The organization has been assisting Israelis abroad to return for the elections, as only in-person votes are counted. Approximately 67,000 expatriates are expected to return, contributing to a significant voter turnout, with 810,000 registered voters living abroad.
