Timothy Persoons is the new Prince Carnival of Aalst: "The countdown can begin"

Timothy Persoons has been crowned the 73rd Prince Carnival of Aalst, winning with 885 points. Despite poor weather, around 2,000 carnival enthusiasts attended the event. Mayor Christophe D'Haese initially considered canceling but decided to proceed. Timothy's performance featured eight songs and impressive visuals, while competitor Kenny Baele showcased the spirit of carnival through his act. The event concluded with a heartfelt farewell from the outgoing prince, Joshy De Troch, before the results were announced. Timothy expressed his joy, reflecting on his previous loss three years ago and celebrating this victory.
