Ten railway stations around Lake Balaton will be renovated by Vitézy and his team
Hungarian Minister Dávid Vitézy announced the renovation of ten northern Balaton railway stations after EU funding became available. The improvements include new passenger buildings, platform upgrades, and enhanced accessibility features. Contracts for the renovations are expected to take effect by the end of October, with various construction projects planned across multiple locations. Additionally, Balatonalmádi station's renovation is also on the agenda, pending a new procurement process. However, Balatonakarattya will not be included due to local opposition. These investments align with the larger Baross Gábor railway development program.
