"It's an electoral sausage." Father Kobyliński on the Left's project regarding the liquidation of the Church Fund

Two years ago, an inter-ministerial team was formed to redefine the relationship between the state and the Church, but no compromise has been reached. New Left has proposed a bill to abolish the Church Fund, which has been criticized as an election stunt. Professor Andrzej Kobyliński emphasized the need for reform in Church financing but argued that it should not be led by the New Left, which he views as having no moral authority to do so. He pointed out that smaller churches oppose radical reforms and that a thorough review of property commissions is necessary before establishing a new financing system. Kobyliński believes that any reform should not be part of an election campaign and requires broad consensus.
