Several massive water spouts have appeared near the Istrian Peninsula, one of which was filmed.
Several large waterspouts were observed near the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia, with videos capturing their formation. These waterspouts appeared on Saturday near Poreč, Vrsar, and Karigador. The Croatian meteorological site IstraMet shared footage, including a video showing the development of a waterspout near Poreč. Waterspouts typically form during stormy weather, especially in tropical regions, where warm sea water heats the cooler air above, causing warm, moist air to rise and potentially create a rotating funnel. The strength of the air currents then shapes the waterspout.
