Trams can run again on Pacsirtamező Street after more than forty years

BKK plans to develop the tram network in Buda by constructing a new line on Pacsirtamező Street, connecting Kaszásdűlő to the city center. This 3.5-kilometer tram line aims to alleviate traffic on the busy 9 bus route. Trams have not operated on this street since 1981, when the line was removed to prioritize car traffic. The reinstatement of the tram service could provide new travel options for 30,000 to 40,000 daily passengers.
