Tomasz Terlikowski: Two weeks for bereavement leave. The British idea is excellent
The UK plans to introduce bereavement leave starting April 2027, allowing two weeks of unpaid leave for those who lose a loved one, including parents who experience miscarriage. This leave can be taken within 56 weeks of the loss and can be divided into parts. The initiative aims to recognize the grieving process as a legitimate concern that should be accommodated legally, similar to parental leave for childbirth.
