Break the glass ceiling: women in modern factories
The transformation of modern industry presents new opportunities for women, yet their representation in leadership roles remains low. Historical trends show fluctuating female participation in the workforce, with significant drops during the political transitions in Hungary. Currently, women make up 37% of leaders but only 10% in top positions in major companies. Despite high performance in STEM subjects, women's enrollment in technical higher education is low, contributing to a skilled labor shortage. The industry is evolving, requiring technological skills where women excel. Initiatives like the Modern Factories Night aim to inspire young women by showcasing successful female professionals in engineering and management roles.
