Tortures near Kyiv? Shocking reports and riots
On November 2, unverified reports emerged on social media regarding alleged torture of soldiers at a military unit's temporary location near Kyiv. Relatives of the soldiers claimed that they were being tortured and that money was being demanded from their families. In response, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine visited the site to show the conditions of the detained soldiers. Protests erupted outside the military base, leading to disruptions. Four soldiers were found injured and sent to the hospital. An investigation has been initiated to verify the claims of violence, with assurances that those responsible will be punished if the allegations are confirmed. The Interior Minister confirmed that families were allowed to contact their relatives and that medical personnel were granted access to the site.
