Torun will host Europeans in short track athletics again in 2029

The Polish city of Torun will host the European Indoor Athletics Championships again in 2029, as announced by European Athletics. This decision was made during the EA Council meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. Torun previously hosted the championships in 2021 under pandemic restrictions. The city is recognized for its long-standing association with indoor athletics. The upcoming championships will follow the 2027 event in Valencia. Portuguese athletes have historically performed well in these championships, winning numerous medals, including in the last edition held in Apeldoorn.
