Tragedy in the largest safari park in the Benelux. Leopards attacked their caretaker

A tragic incident occurred at Beekse Bergen safari park when a 50-year-old zookeeper was attacked by leopards. Despite her serious injuries, she managed to alert colleagues via radio. She was airlifted to the hospital but later died from her injuries. The zoo confirmed that the leopards will not be euthanized and an investigation into safety procedures is underway. This is not the first fatal incident at the park, as a worker was killed by an elephant in 2003.
