Three defendants accused of fraud in two juntas in Marvão

The Public Prosecutor's Office has charged three individuals with fraud related to subsidy acquisition between 2010 and 2014 in two parishes of Marvão. The accused, including two former parish presidents, allegedly manipulated cost tables to falsely inflate expenses for a funding program. They sought financial support from the Institute for Financing Agriculture and Fisheries, despite lacking the necessary financial capacity. The prosecution demands the recovery of 32,721.03 euros in benefits obtained through these fraudulent actions. The investigation was led by the Regional Department of Investigation and Penal Action in Évora, with assistance from the Judicial Police.
