Court allows Cambra to camp at Rossio until the 24th

Renata Cambra successfully argued before the Lisbon Administrative Court that the restriction on protests after 00:30 should not be interpreted as an absolute limit on the fundamental right to protest. Judge Ana de Campos ruled that Cambra has the right to protest until the final approval of the State Budget on November 24, 2026, allowing her to use necessary structures like a tent. However, it remains unclear if all protesters can use tents or just Cambra. The judge emphasized that this right must be balanced with public interests, particularly concerning the scheduled Christmas Market in Praça D. Pedro IV, requiring administrative bodies to find solutions that accommodate both events.
