"Trick or treat!": dozens of toddlers and preschoolers go door to door in Ypres for Halloween

On Friday evening, around 40 toddlers and preschoolers in Ypres went door-to-door for Halloween, accompanied by their parents. Dressed up, they chanted the American phrase in exchange for candy. Organizer Kim Vandevijver aimed to bring young families together, noting that while older children have Halloween activities, there were few options for the youngest. Participants gathered at Astrid Park near St. Martin's Cathedral before splitting into smaller groups along planned routes. They knocked on doors of participating homes and local businesses that had candy ready. The event was enjoyable for both the children and the community.
