Bruges Triennale announces 19 participants: including Theaster Gates and Sammy Baloji

The participants for the Bruges Triennale have been announced, featuring 19 artists including Theaster Gates and Sammy Baloji. The event, focusing on contemporary art and architecture, will run from April 24 to September 5, 2027, under the theme 'Afterbirth, Structures of Togetherness'. Curators Ulrika Fink and Helen Rix Runting revealed the lineup, which includes various international artists. The Triennale will not follow a set path, allowing visitors to explore freely. Notable locations include the former Howest site and Zeebrugge, where artists like Mahmoud Khaled will contribute. Gates will create a new installation at BRUSK, which will also feature an information stand for visitors.
