Difficult Monday for the złoty. Dollar at its highest in several months

On Monday afternoon, the dollar approaches 3.94 PLN, marking its highest level this year and since spring of last year. The zloty also weakens against the euro, which reaches 4.41 PLN, the highest in over two years. This trend reflects ongoing depreciation linked to weaker economic data and France's public finance issues. Despite Moody's maintaining France's credit rating, concerns remain about escalating problems and social discontent ahead of spring elections. The dollar's strength is supported by anticipated interest rate hikes and rising tensions regarding Iran, although oil prices are correcting after last week's surge.
