Trump new on the list of "Enemies of Press Freedom"
Reporter ohne Grenzen has added Donald Trump to its list of global "enemies of press freedom," citing his use of presidential power against critical media. This designation coincides with the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists. The U.S. ranks 64th in press freedom, a significant decline. Alongside Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi also appears on the list for closing independent media and imprisoning journalists. RSF highlights the financial struggles of media due to the dominance of tech giants like Google and Meta in advertising. However, some positive changes are noted, as former leaders like Viktor Orban and Aleksandar Vucic are no longer on the list due to electoral defeats.
